The Eastern Kingsnake is native to the Eastern United States, as far north as southern New Jersey and as far south as northern Florida. Their preferred habitat includes pinelands, oak hammocks, hardwood forests, bottomlands, tidal wetlands and swamps, and they are also seen in populated areas such as farmlands.
