Milksnake Mexican Health Information

The Mexican Milksnake is a relatively easy milksnake, which requires basic Lampropeltis care. A 15 to 20-gallon long tank will be fine for a snake of all sizes. Temperatures are easily met with an under-tank heater placed at one side of the tank. 85 to 88 Fahrenheit should be the average temperatures on the "hot side" and the "cool side" should be kept at room temperatures. A bedding of aspen shaving or similar commercial products, should be 2-3 inches thick to allow burrowing is best. A water bowl large enough for the snake to soak in is required; clean and refill daily. Feeding is also easy. Feed an appropriate sized mouse once a week.
