Kingsnake Durango Mountain basic information

The Durango Mountain Kingsnake is a small to medium sized kingsnake, usually growing to around two to three feet long. This snake is generally gray with 28 to 25 black bands on their bodies with 4-7 additional bands on their tails. One thing that makes this snake so beautiful are the red and orange markings that usually appear in the centers of the black bands, also some will have yellowish markings on the edge of the black bands. They have pointed heads that are usually a bit wider than their necks. All Durango Mountain Kingsnakes should have sharp and distinct patterns on their heads. This snake somewhat resembles the Gray Banded Kingsnake.
